The Lampang climbing area is on military property and climbing is authorized only through official military permission. Access is only permitted on days when CMRCA certified guides are at the climbing area. You will not be allowed to enter the climbing area without completing the following requirements.
Before you go
- Proof of a negative result on a Covid-19 Antigen Test Kit (ATK) taken 72 hours prior to arrival is required in order to participate. The ATK is necessary regardless of whether or not participants have been vaccinated. Please submit your result using this form: Covid Screening Form no later than 24 hours before your trip. Please self monitor and if you have a temperature of more than 37.5, please do not put others at risk.
- You must check in with a CMRCA/Progression guide and show your booking confirmation email in order to access the area. If you do not have a booking confirmation, you will be denied access to the climbing area. Booking is by pre-registration only. Guides will not be able to register you on site.
- All climbers must complete this Liability Waiver and email it back to info@thailandclimbing to complete your registration.
- CMRCA / Progression guides will be available between 9:00 and 17:00. Climbers may not arrive before guides and must leave the area on time no later than 17:00.
- CMRCA / Progression guides will be waiting at Nee Miya Ma restaurant at 8:30 to greet climbers. The guides will leave the restaurant at 9:00 and you can follow them to the crag. If you arrive after 9:00, you will need to navigate to the climbing area by yourself. CMRCA / Progression does not take responsibility for anyone who arrives late and cannot find the climbing area. No refunds will be given and the guides will not be able to drive out to meet you. You can find the climbing area, accommodation and food in the area using this map.
- You must bring your own CLIMBING EQUIPMENT! Equipment is available for rent or purchase at our climbing shop. Please contact us at least 1 day before if you want to rent equipment. Click here for rental prices and more information.
- Lampang is still a new site and there is a lot of loose rock out there! Helmets are not required but are Highly Recommended!
- There can be bees and insects in the area. They are not aggressive. We recommend you prepare and bring long pants, long sleeve top layers and even a buff type neck protection in case the insects and bees are bad.
