Intro to SRT Outdoor

Equip yourself to explore vertical caves by applying single rope technique (SRT) in Anxiety State Crisis Cave. 

In this course, you will have the opportunity to apply your basic SRT skills in a stunning natural cave. 

You will start the day by rappelling 40 meters (130 feet) into the cave. You will then practice key techniques in the cave, including ascending, descending, and changeovers. As a break from practicing caving techniques, enjoy your locally-made Thai lunch. Your day will then finish with a rope climb out of the cave. 

You will leave more confident in your ability to join caving adventures that require the use of SRT. Once you pass this course, you will be equipped to take on the SRT Essentials course!

What experience do I need to join this course?
• To join this course, you need to take the Intro to SRT Indoor course or have equivalent skills, such as basic ascending and descending. For the full list of skills, please refer to the Intro to SRT Indoor course page.
