Climber Info

CMRCA facilitates climbing at some of the most beautiful and well-maintained crags in Southeast Asia, Chiang Mai and Lampang.

With more than 300 routes established and more development every month, Chiang Mai climbing is now known as one of Asia’s international climbing destinations.

Lampang is the newest crag in Northern Thailand. With walls that are over 120m tall and 1 Km wide there is massive potential and new routes are going up all the time. It has great climbing for all grades and climbing abilities, in single and multi-pitch terrain.

Northern Thailand is full of valleys and mountains and endless karst limestone formations.  A relatively quiet and unknown destination just a few years ago, the past 15 years have seen steady, sustainable development.

The north of Thailand allows climbers a chance to climb while experiencing that day to day Thai life at the same time.  In Chiang Mai, don’t expect to roll out of bed and be at the base of the crag.  Rather, get ready for an adventure that includes local sausage, an exciting motorbike ride to the crag and a taste of what makes climbing in the mountains of northern Thailand so special.
