What has international representation, a huge appetite, and a whole lot of fun? The Chiang Mai climbing community, of course. We were astounded once again by the scope of our community at the 1st Annual Rock N Roast. The day was packed with awesome climbing, surprise wildlife encounters, and delicious cuisine from our favorite local restaurants. Several of us sent long-term projects, broke into new grades, or climbed and belayed for the first time. From kids to grandparents, first-timers to veterans, locals to far-ranging foreigners, we all had an unforgettable community climbing day!
The best part was that it felt like any other day at Crazy Horse… except, perhaps, for the tarantula. Special thanks to Chiang Mai Climbing Club member Bastiaan for acting as Community Liason for this event, and to Sawitree Sakaew for being a terrific event coordinator!
