CMRCA has worked closely with local authorities this year to provide rope rescue and cave rescue training to local emergency workers in preparation of future access to Crazy Horse. One of those trainings took place on 20 and 21 October with the BCRC (British Cave Rescue Council) and CMRCA joined with local rescuers from TRRT and Wiang Fah Cave Rescue in Mae On, Chiang Mai. During the training, we shared techniques and learned from BCRC rescuers about techniques used in the UK during cave rescue that could be applied to rescues in Thailand. We will continue to work closely with the authorities to prepare for the reopening of Crazy Horse Buttress.
