So i have been living in China for about 5 weeks with the exchange program between Chiang Mai Rock Climbing Adventure and Insight Adventures. This experience has really exceeded my expectation. I have learned a lot from my first time outside of Thailand. Yangshou is a wonderful place to climb with an amazing landscape. There are a lot of karst mountains around the town. Its SICK!!!!!! For the last five weeks here, I dove into the Chinese culture and made a lot of new friends. People here were so nice and helpful, I really appreciated it. I also really enjoyed trying many different dishes like Won Ton( soup) Sao lon pao( chinese bun) BBQ, and any other things. Yummy!!!
As I mentioned before, I came here with a goal to send 7c/+. I had opportunities to go climbing and tried certain projects before I leave. So I onsighted Name 6b+, Big Plane 6c, and Chuck If You Want To 7a and redpointed Ta Ma Da 6c, The Wiggle 7b/+ second attempted. It been a great learning about climbing for me. Even if I could not make it happened this time…I already plan my next return here one day.
My bag is packed and I am ready for my visit to Black Diamond in Zhuhi soon. Big Thanks for the Insight Adventure crew for having me there. Xia Xia!!!
